Regarding the current administration’s second amendment plans, you should know that a day of reckoning will come very soon for citizens of Virginia, and it will set a precedent for how we advance the cause of liberty as it pertains to other social issues. To those who “back the blue” by schizophrenically waving their “Thin Blue Line” flag next to the “Don’t Tread On Me Flag,” I need to you to understand that the “blue” won’t be there for you when it comes to Red Flag laws and other arbitrary gun regulations. They aren’t there for you now when, in the name of “serving and protecting,” they are consistently “plundering and harassing.” They enforce bad laws now, what’s preventing them from enforcing bad laws tomorrow? And what’s the excuse they passionately cite when encroaching on your liberties?

“I’m just doing my job.”

Do you really think that they will say anything different when Richmond starts tossing out new regulations? Sure, some sheriff’s will quickly tell you they support the second amendment. However, you cheer them on while turning a blind eye to the eradication of the common law court systems. You fawn at them while the inexorable, burgeoning growth of administrative law pushes full speed ahead. But what will they do when subsidies are involved? When bribes are involved? When state monies are tied up in the system? What will the sheriff do when Richmond says something different than what the second amendment gives us?

I’ll tell you: they will capitulate. They will roll over in a sympathetic but deceitful fit of acquiescence, look you in the eye and say, “Give me your gun. I’m just doing my job.”

The second amendment means nothing if Virginians won’t put into practice the very thing illustrated on our state flag: “Thus always to tyrants.”
